MORE ABOUT THE NEIGHBORHOOD
With the Stay At Home order in place, there isn’t much to see and do at the moment, but we wanted to share with you what’s around this Tacoma home, so you’ll know what to explore when we can all enjoy the outdoors again!
Takeout is where it’s at right now and this home is surrounded by many options! Get plenty of stuff to go, like MSM Deli (one bite and you’ll know why they’re called ‘Magical Sandwich Makers’!), Dirty Oscar’s Annex - They’ve got hashes, chicken fried steak, moco loco, stuffed pancakes and lots of things smothered in gravy to lift your spirits. And if you need your spirits lifted a little higher, they’re also serving cocktails, champs, mules and margaritas. Ice Cream Social thee place for all natural, homemade local ice cream you’ll take home by the pint full. If you’re looking for some homestyle eats, look no further than Southern Kitchen - Soul food including favorites such as fried chicken & collard greens served in a laid-back space. Always get a corn cake and sweet tea, you won’t be disappointed!
You’ll have more than one reason to order fresh coffee beans from Bluebeard Coffee Roasters, it’s not just good coffee from a local coffee shop, but they’re also donating coffee to our front line health workers too, so order a bag online today!
If your lifestyle includes getting out and about to parks, even in the cooler months, then you just might discover that Wright Park could become your favorite go-to spot. It’s just minutes away and ideal for plenty of fresh air. The park is very popular in the summer months as it offers a free sprayground. Families appreciate the space, playground and plenty of picnic tables for summertime fun. However those are currently delayed in opening and the playground equipment is closed at this time. This 27-acre arboretum is home to a rich collection of more than 600 trees - stunning in both the spring & summer when they’re ample and bright green, and impressive in the fall as they change from green to all the fall colors. And if Tacoma should see any snow this year, dress in layers, grab your sled and hit the park for a little sledding fun! WW Seymour Conservatory is a community treasure, hosting events throughout the year and a rotating assortment of seasonal flowers.
For essential items, Fred Meyer is just 2 miles away.
