Enjoy the fresh air and a round of golf at the Allenmore Golf Course - yes it is back open again! This 18-hole, meticulously maintained course sits in the heart of Tacoma. Only four people are allowed per group, reservations must be made and paid for in advance, and a handful of other policies have been put in place during this time to keep everyone safe. Please visit their website for changes and updates.
The clubhouse is closed at the golf course right now, so if you’ve looking for a place to grab a bite to eat afterwards, we recommend Burger Seoul, a Korean burger food truck just a couple blocks away on S. 19th Street.
The playground and splash pad are currently closed at Franklin Park, but if you need to get out for some fresh air, this community park is just minutes away and covers an area of more than 20 acres. There’s also a community garden that provides both physical and social benefits for people in the neighborhood. You can also find plenty of open fields to play in, a walking trail, ample parking, basketball park, a playground, restrooms and a picnic shelter. And on the rare occasion that Tacoma sees snow fall, this park has some mild hills that are used for sledding.
Minutes from the brewery district 7 Seas Brewing that is two blocks away and 3uilt has a great menu - everything from dinner to your morning coffee. Black Fleet Brewing is another local favorite that’s just a quick stroll down the hill. Try the Smoked Red Amber! Incline Cider House is family-owned and operated. They offer a selection of 16 ciders on tap along with a rotating selection of beer and wine. Try the Incline Spicy Peach with a charcuterie board for a summer kick. E9 Brewing Co. & Taproom is newly opened and is located on 25th & Fawcett Ave. It’s the place to go for local beer on tap and woodfired pizza.
