West Hylebos Wetlands Park is a large, lush park with a network of trails & boardwalks through wetlands (no dogs or bikes allowed). 120 acres of unique old growth forest and wetlands in the heart of Federal Way. These wetlands are equal parts wildlife refuge, ecological and hydrological conservatory, nature trail, and pure natural wonder. One of the last remaining bogs in South King County, the Hylebos Wetlands is easy to reach and explore.
Just 6.3 miles away is the Swan Creek Park & Trail. This 373 acre park is great for walking and mountain biking, a community garden, wooded canyon and upland forest. The river features salmon, the walking trail is 3.7 miles, dogs are allowed but must be leashed and this area is open year round.
