Gig Harbor offers this classic home in the lovely, gated Saratoga community. This light-filled house set on a .41-acre lot is noted for the quiet and private back yard with plenty of space for relaxing and entertaining. The two-story living room has a stacked stone feature wall and built-in bookcases. The dining room leads to an eat-in gourmet kitchen with generous storage and granite counters. Stainless appliances new in 2020. Explore the fully fenced back yard and then step back inside to the family room with a gas fireplace and additional built-ins. Upstairs the spacious primary en-suite will surprise you with its generous size. Three more large bedrooms and a comfortable den/office complete the home. Quick access to HWY 16 and amenities.

“We will most miss our fabulous backyard and amazingly kind neighbors. This house has the best of both worlds: 1) We can be on the Narrows Bridge in 3 minutes, with no traffic, and 2) The house and neighborhood are amazingly private, with our backyard being known as the “best backyard” in the community. The mature vegetation and tall evergreens draw you in year-round, and our outdoor living space lets us take advantage of it. Also, we will miss the nature trail we use to walk 15 minutes to the Tacoma Narrows Park. Being able to walk to the beach, with views of Mount Rainier and orcas coming through is a gift. And lastly, the neighborhood roads are flat and smooth, great for biking, walking, and visiting with neighbors.”

“There is significant mature vegetation including Douglas firs, Rhododendrons, Roses, Japanese Maples, and Two fruit-bearing pear trees (abundant harvests in summer), and Rosemary, Lavender, and Oregano plantings. Flowering weeping Cherry and Cherry Blossom in front yard, as well as Jasmine, azaleas, and Irises. Each summer, the neighborhood hosts a July 4th children’s parade/social that is well attended and an annual highlight!”

“We’ve enjoyed this location because we are just 10 minutes from the bustling “Uptown” area of Gig Harbor, which has everything you could want. Just a few minutes further and you are in the waterfront area of Gig Harbor, where we go for stand-up paddle boarding, and stroll along the vibrant shopping and maritime district. The Saratoga community is a welcoming neighborhood with friendly residents and abundant natural beauty. On walks around the gated community you can view Mount Rainier and the Tacoma Narrows Bridge! Our easy (3 minutes) access to the bridge makes commuting a breeze! The 360 park is a mountain biker’s dream, and it is just a 15 minute drive from our home. The Skansie Park down on the Gig Harbor Waterfront is a great arts and restaurant district and an amazing way to spend a day!”

“When dining out nearby, definitely Gig Harbor Waterfront. Brunch at Netshed 9 is a staple of many weekends! The GreenHouse restaurant in the bustling Uptown area is just ten minutes away and is one of the best restaurants we have visited in all of Washington State, with a laid-back feel and outdoor seating seasonally. Another go-to is the “Hub” restaurant at the Tacoma Narrows Airport, where you can listen to live music on the patio and enjoy a casual meal while watching the activities happening on the runway! All of our visiting friends say it is a highlight of their visit. And lastly- the Gourmet Burger Shop on the Waterfront in Gig Harbor- best burgers in the country!”

If you have your pilot license and are an aviation enthusiast, the Tacoma Narrows Airport is just minutes away. They offer aircraft and maintenance, storage and parking, fuel, charter and business flights and training. There’s also a restaurant with an observation deck.

Just 8 minutes away is Uptown Gig Harbor - Here you can find an abundance of dining and shopping like Moctezuma’s Mexican Restaurant (amazing happy hour and margaritas). It’s a great place to go for dinner before taking in a movie at the Galaxy Uptown Luxury Theater. There’s also Marshall’s, Talbots, Kohl’s, Michael’s, Ben & Jerry’s, Cutter’s Point Coffee, Panera, Safeway, Starbucks and Domo Sushi. For other grocery needs, Fred Meyer and Harbor Greens are on the other side of Olympic Drive NW. And coming soon is the new Metropolitan Market!

Crescent Creek Park, also known as City Park is nearby and offers a scenic creekfront spot with a view of Gig Harbor and the water. There’s a BMX park, art, a playground that includes an accessible fishing vessel to play on, ball fields, and more.

Downtown Gig Harbor is only 6 miles away and there are some local favorites like The Green Turtle and Tides Tavern that you don’t want to miss! Both have mouth watering menus of fresh seafood dishes. Another great dining option on the water is Netshed No. 9 where you won’t want to miss the house made cinnamon rolls! All have stunning views along the water and the Gig Harbor Lighthouse. Get your fresh fruits and veggies at the Gig Harbor Farmers Market - open on Saturdays. Listen to live music and pick up a bouquet of fresh flowers.

9 minutes away is Madrona Links Golf Course, one of the best golf courses in Gig Harbor. Madrona prides itself on a four club atmosphere where their course and greens are always well manicured and groomed for your golfing pleasure.
