A NOTE FROM THE SELLERS

“What we’ll miss the most about living in this house is the upgraded features, quiet street, proximity to commuter transit hub and the walkable distance to the neighborhood restaurants.”

Some favorite places they like to visit are - Starbucks, Lincoln Park, easy access to freeways, close to the Tacoma Mall, Costco, convenient downtown access and nearby restaurants.

“When having lunch or dinner nearby we like to visit the Burger Broiler for a double cheeseburger or tortas from the local taco truck Taqueria La Fondita.”

“There’s an annual Lincoln District block party. The neighbors are very friendly and watch out for each other.”

The Community

The Lincoln District is just minutes away! The Lincoln International District is an incredible blend of historic buildings and cultural diversity and has a high Walkscore. Don’t let the current construction work keep you from visiting this neighborhood. When the work is completed in January 2018 this neighborhood will become even more pedestrian friendly. Find our more about the Lincoln District Streetscape Project here! Plenty of places to eat around here by local, family owned establishments and hard-to-find international items at several specialty markets. The Lincoln District also celebrates TET New Year Festival – check their Facebook page for more info on the date of this event, which generally occurs in February.

Just minutes away is McKinley Park, a part of Metroparks of Tacoma and one of Tacoma’s first parks in 1901, is just a few blocks away with 26+ acres sporting tree lined hiking trails and a 7-acre dog park for walking dogs. It also has 2 playgrounds with new equipment & a pond. This park boasts four streams and four wetlands. The largest of the wetlands was enhanced and expanded. It is considered a wetland of local significance by the City of Tacoma and provides many valuable benefits to the community. The park is kept up by the Friends of McKinley Park - volunteer natural area sponsors for this park. They help existing park service with litter pickup and removal, invasive plant removal, native plant planting, organized work parties and more.

Best Happy Hour and Weekend Fare - Top of Tacoma is just a mile away and is a fun bar/tavern experience. It has some of the most unusual, unique and best tasting foods around. Definitely not your standard bar fare. Bonus - they have happy hour twice a day!

The Tacoma Link light rail is currently a 1.6-mile light rail line starting at the Tacoma Dome Station and ending at the Theater District on South 9th Street – and is free to ride! The city is currently working on an expansion plan with construction finalizing in 2022. This project will more than double the current length and will reach new destinations like the Old City Hall, the Stadium District, Wright Park and the Hilltop communities. Check here for link updates! Are you planning to attend a Sounders or Seahawks game in the future? Catch the Sounder Train at the Tacoma Dome Station northbound to Seattle – it’s convenient, cheap (about $5 to ride) and less of a hassle than sitting in I-5 traffic for events or commuting! Both the light rail and train are just a mile away!

Downtown Tacoma is a quick drive in the meantime and there are dozens of restaurants within a little more than a mile down Pacific Avenue. The University of Washington Tacoma is also down the street, along with LeMay – America’s Car Museum, Tacoma Art Museum, The Museum of Glass as well as the Washington State History Museum.
