THE COMMUNITY

FROM THE SELLER

When I asked the seller what they’ll miss most about living in this house, it was a very heartfelt and homey answer - “Cooking dinner in the kitchen to take upstairs and catch a show with the family, get-togethers in the downstairs with friends and family, late evening fires under the gazebo, allowing the kids and pets the worry free nature of living in the house, all the huge plants we grew from nothing that now anchor the yards and provide privacy and fruit, and the wind through the backyard with the evening sunset in late summer.”

Some things they’ve enjoyed about this location are - “Being so close to 6th Ave Business District, which has great food and evening entertainment, Art On The Ave in July, Hilltop Street Fair in August, easy bike rides through all the neighborhoods or even straight to downtown or Stadium District which is only an eighteen minute slow walk, Wright Park evening strolls, MSM Deli, and quick access to three freeways.”

When having lunch or dinner around town, this is where they’d go - “Deli Club or Mikes Deluxe at MSM Deli , The Lomo at Asado, Bluebeard Coffee or Valhalla Coffee (best), any sandwich at 1111, or cook your own steak at the Zodiac Supper Club , Sweet Tea at Southern Kitchen with Fried Chicken, anything at Gateway to India, and so much more.”

What you should know about the neighborhood - “The large grape vine produces amazing amount of grapes , little wine grapes by September, pick and giveaway to friends and family, we loved freezing them and eating as a snack . There are two hop plants in the front that come back every year and if taken care of produce an amazing amount of hops. The large grass in the front along the sidewalk will grow exceptionally tall every year and it helps them to trim them back in the spring. There are a couple more pampas grass in the back yard that as well make great privacy. The fenced in yard needs very little work, but you will find small plants start to pop up in the spring and summer and I would just pick them as I saw them and typically made for a lovely evening practice once in a while. The raised garden beds in the backyard are filled with organic soil, and if you have time you can have a nice little vegetable garden.”
