“Certainly going to miss that view - it still takes my breath away! Spending mornings doing yoga and drinking coffee in the sun and then evenings with a cocktail out on the deck. The deck in general - you can’t help but feel in the trees! Watching the fireworks from the master bedroom (in bed!) was certainly a highlight every year. This house feels like a bird sanctuary, so many are a friend to this house and you can regularly catch hummingbirds, stellar jays, and robins. Waking up to the birds singing and the warm morning sunlight in the bedroom is the most magical way to wake up. Drinking coffee on the couch in the living room and looking out over that view - it truly doesn’t matter the weather rain or shine it is one of my favorite sights! Christmas mornings in front of the fireplace and our 10ft tree (the ceiling is 11ft and I adore it). This house definitely was designed to entertain - from the wrap around deck to the overlooking view and mid-century vibe, it’s a place to gather!”
“Super close to Whole Foods, Safeway, Trader Joes and the freeway. You feel tucked in and a quiet, peaceful spot among the trees but super close to the entertainment in Tacoma. We frequent the dog parks, there are lots of great ones nearby. Best pizza in all of Tacoma is close by too!”
“If it’s casual and in the mood for pizza (which is always) Sammy’s Pizza is the best in all of Tacoma in my opinion and they are right around the corner (and deliver)! Love grabbing beers at Pint Defiance! And Lobster Shop for lunch or dinner on the water along Ruston Way!”
“The neighborhood is quiet and incredibly friendly with a mix of young and older couples and kids at play in the cul-de-sac. When the last major snow storm hit all the neighbors gathered in the street and had a cute bonfire, hot cider with donuts and a snowball fight. There are neighborhood gatherings for BBQs and pool parties. Our yard has a lot of amazing plants in the back and is gorgeous in spring and summer. We have three fig trees and one plum tree (all delicious fruit each year), two lilac trees in white and deep purple that smell incredible in the spring, roses that flower some of the most stunning roses I’ve ever seen, TONS of irises in lots of different colors, lavender and mint and rosemary throughout the back (awesome for cooking or cocktails), peonies and hydrangea bushes (and that’s not including everything)!”
