FROM THE SELLER
A little from the sellers about the location, and what they’ll miss about the neighborhood -
“The character and warmth this house embraces draws me in. The 100 plus year old moldings, doors, door knobs speak to me of a rich history. The gas fireplace in the dining room helps me go beyond the gray wet winter days. I love the outlay of the rooms and the benefit of separating the upstairs when needed. I truly love soaking in a bubble bath in the old claw foot bathtub upstairs. The inherent warmth of the fir wood floors equals home to me. This house speaks to home on so many levels it is impossible to list them all.”
“The neighborhood reflects the diversity of Tacoma and the blue collar history of this mill town. The location is very central with downtown less than 10 minutes and the freeway access is also 10 minutes away. This is an urban setting with 3 hospitals close by, schools, city parks, and restaurants all close.”
“My favorite spots to eat out are the Red Elm Cafe, The Zodiac Supper Club, 1111 Bar, The Red Hot, and The Social Club. At The Red Hot I always order the Hilltop Hotdog and then next door is the Ice Cream Social for gourmet ice cream.”
“I love my neighborhood! Most homes are owner occupied. During the summer many neighbors have outdoor parties. The immediate neighborhood is as diverse as Tacoma and urban in character. The house sits up on a hill and overlooks the area with a view of Mount Rainier. From the comfortable porch I can check out my garden boxes and see if the “mountain is out”. The old growth fir trees are a huge presence on the property.”
