FROM THE SELLER

A little from the sellers about the location, and what they’ll miss about the neighborhood -

“I will miss spending time sitting in the backyard with a cup of tea at any time of the day. It is a

nurturing, healing garden. I love hearing and watching the wind through all of the trees. Every

window looks out onto something green and beautiful. The wood burning fireplace heats the house in the winter. The size of the home is also wonderfully manageable - easy to take care of. All of my neighbors are terrific and we look out for one another. It is a quiet neighborhood, you can hear the birds singing. I will miss the peonies, camellias, lavender, rhody’s and lilacs blooming each spring from planting long ago and have stood the test of time. I love the colors of fall and spring in the yard and neighborhood. I will miss how comfortable and open the home feels. It is a great house with a great vibe. I am excited for the new owner.”

“There is a spectacular maple in my neighbors yard on our shared fence line that turns a gorgeous fiery orange in the fall. All of the colors of spring, the smell of the lilacs and lilies. I have about 60 deep purple irises in the front yard that bloom every spring. There is usually a “Won’t you be my neighbor” potluck every year in August or so but Covid has stopped that for a while. I have a beautiful pink flowering tree in the pack yard as well.”

“All of my life needs are within a 5-10 minute drive: dentist, doctors, Whole Foods, Trader Joes, Rite Aid Pharmacy, Dry Cleaners, Doggy Day Care, Bank, Post Office, Garden Store, Lowes, Fred Meyer, tea shop, restaurants. It is easy living. Chambers Bay is a 10 minute drive, freeway is less than 10 minutes away. It is a very walkable neighborhood as well. I walk my dogs all of the time.”

“When dining out we enjoy Boathouse 19 - salmon burger or spinach salmon salad, Spring Lake Cafe - hometown breakfast, Mimi’s Tea Shop, Espresso Yourself - The Gobbler homemade sandwich, Sapporo Japanese Steakhouse -salmon with fried noodles, crab rangoon, and the teppanyaki.”

WHAT’S NEARBY

Just 5 minutes away from the The University Place Town Center where you can shop at Whole Foods, get coffee and more at Anthem Coffee & Tea, Top Pot Doughnuts, check out 80,000 books, movies, audiobooks and more at the University Place Library, grab small batch ice cream at Bliss Ice Cream, get wraps and subs at Jersey Mike’s Subs, Pure Barre, Orange Theory Fitness and MOD Pizza.

You’ll also find the Green Firs Towne Center just a few minutes away too - Safeway, Starbucks, Sapporo Japanese Steakhouse, Home Goods, Trader Joe’s, Mud Bay, Gyro Zone and Fresh Rolls, Soggy Doggy and the Hand & Stone Massage Spa.

The best place for coffee and breakfast is Espresso Yourself. Just 2.5 miles away and you can enjoy your favorite latte, mocha, tea or smoothie. Make it a real treat by grabbing a Fisher scone to go with it! That’s right, you don’t have to go to the fair just to have that, yummy, raspberry filled scone + they’re bigger than the fair scones too! If you’re in the mood for some lunch, they have really good sandwiches that the locals rave about.

You can look forward to being less than 3 miles from the Chamber’s Bay Trail & Golf Course - The trail head is only 3.25 miles round trip, but the hills have a serious incline. The views of the Olympic Mountains will reward your efforts! If you enjoy golf – Chamber’s Bay Golf Course is one of the top courses in the nation and the first course in the Northwest to welcome the U.S. Open Championships. Their onsite restaurant – The Grill offers a nice weekend brunch and sunset dinners.
