Listing by NWMLS / Windermere Abode

Immaculately maintained home on a quiet cul-de-sac in Artondale’s Black Bear neighborhood; conveniently located just 11-minutes from the Narrows Bridges. Sitting at the top of the hill with South-facing windows and high ceilings, you’ll enjoy lots of natural light and views of the beautifully landscaped yard from nearly every room. Open floor plan with 4 bedrooms and a bonus room upstairs, plus a main floor den (currently a playroom). Eat-in kitchen opens onto a large patio overlooking the lawn and green belt. Primary suite has a lovely remodeled bath with soaking tub, marble floors and a generous shower. Other big ticket upgrades in the last five years include a new roof, interior & exterior paint, gutters, and powder room remodel.

Locally owned and operated Harbor Greens is just 3 miles away. They have a great selection of local & hard-to-find specialty items, an in-house butcher and a full-service deli with gourmet sandwiches are really good pizza that you can eat there or take to go. Get authentic, artisan brick oven fired pizza and Italian food to-go from Fondi Pizzeria. Or enjoy their down-to-earth patio with a glass of wine or a cocktail.

Patterson’s Farm Market is the local go-to for fresh, seasonal items! Pickup produce like onions, tomatoes, garlic and avocados for fresh guacamole or homemade salsa. Sugar sweet corn for all your barbecues, and berries for making jams and jellies. Grab pumpkins to carve in the fall or pies for the holidays and adorn your home and front door with their many wreaths and boughs for the holidays.

The Gig Harbor Golf Club is a regulation-length 9 hole golf club featuring multiple tee boxes and majestic views of Mt. Rainier. It also happens to be your next door neighbor -- how convenient!

If you’re looking for a little outdoor adventure, you’re just 10 minutes away from Kopachuck State Park. In the Summer you can dig your toes into the warm sand along the beach and enjoy the cool breeze from the Carr Inlet. This 109-acre marine and camping park has 5,600 feet of saltwater shoreline, and provides scenic views of sunsets, the Olympic Mountains and the Puget Sound. Kopachuck, aptly named “at water” by the Chinook Tribe, is a great place to swim or kayak, and also has an easy loop trail where you can wander among giant maple and cedar trees. Other activities and features include boating, clamming, crabbing, diving (Kopachuck Underwater Park), saltwater fishing, oyster harvesting, bird watching and wildlife viewing.

For a different kind of outdoor experience, Uptown Gig Harbor is also close. Here you can find an abundance of dining and shopping like Blue Agave or Moctezuma’s Mexican Restaurant (happy hour! margaritas!) There are some local specialty restaurants like Gertie and the Giant Octopus and Greenhouse. Make it a date night with reservations for dinner, then a movie at the Galaxy Uptown Luxury Theater and some Ben & Jerry’s afterward! Local coffee house Cutter’s Point Coffee, has an outpost here, as do a variety of boutiques and women’s clothing stores. For general grocery needs, Fred Meyer and Safeway are close -- and Metropolitan Market’s newest location will be opening soon!

“We love our yard and the privacy of the greenbelt behind our home. The views of the forest and wildlife (birds, rabbits and squirrels) are always relaxing. We are also going to miss the quiet street, our kids riding their bikes in the cul-de-sac, and our neighbors. The yard is professionally landscaped and has different flowers blooming all year and there are blueberry bushes, blackberry bushes and an apple tree. Don’t miss the Neighborhood Fourth of July celebration.

We’ve enjoyed this location because we have easy access to everything in town, but we have a great deal of safety and privacy. We also love the light we get from being on the hill and having a Southern exposure, especially in the Winter. We also love the landscaped entry and views of the golf course and valley every time we are coming or going.

When dining out nearby, we love going to Uptown with the kids. Fondi Pizzeria is one of our favorites, any of their pizzas are good! We also really like Lele Thai, their beef bulgogi is delicious. Occasionally we will head across the bridge for something different and we like to check out Cooks Tavern.”
