Minutes away is the Lakeland Towne Center that has a Haggen Food & Pharmacy, a UPS store, Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt, Solei Day Spa and a newly opened MOD Pizza and Stack 571 Burger and Whiskey Bar, The Rock, Puerto Vallarta and Hops N Drops.
The new Sumner Link Trail offers the chance to experience the Valley along the White River including river views, wildlife and native vegetation as well as agriculture and industry. Linking to the Interurban Trail and Lakeland Hills Trail on the north and the Foothills Trail and Riverwalk Trail to the south, this is also a great commute option.
North Lake Tapps County Park offers spectacular views of Mount Rainier to the south and is a great place for kids and adults to swim. The park has several amenities that include, barbeque grills, beach access, a boat ramp, picnic tables, trails, rest rooms and a seasonal concession stand. There’s also the Allan Yorke Park on the opposite side of the lake, as well as the Tapps Island Golf Course and the newly opened Island Lodge that offers deck seating, overlooks the water and has stellar mountain views.
