Farmhouse vibes and loads of natural lighting highlight this perfectly proportioned home, renovated top to bottom with a designer’s touch and quality materials. The expansive kitchen maximizes storage and offers room to bake, space to gather, and top of the line appliances. You’ll love the massive island and the newly opened layout that provides the opportunity to watch a game or catch up on a favorite show while preparing drinks and snacks. Two covered patios create outdoor living spaces ready for cookouts and friendly chats. Work from home in the cozy loft or turn it into a reading nook, and relax in the primary bedroom with views of the wetlands. Close to parks, trails, and FOB Brewery. Minutes to JBLM and easy I-5 access.

“Obviously, we will miss the spacious kitchen with the huge island the most. We will miss living next to the green belt that includes the trails and deer saying hi in our backyard. We will miss the close relationships formed with friendly neighbors. Living on a quiet dead end made us feel like it was a getaway from busy city life.”

“We’ve enjoyed the yard for the flowering cherry tree in the front yard. Along with a cherry blossom tree in the front yard. Lots of wildflowers bloom on the other side of the chain link fence.”

“We’ve enjoyed this location because there’s a 1.5 mile walk to the beach at Puget Sound via the Sequalitchew Trail. There you can see sea lions, seals and the occasional orca whale. Several parks in the area but our favorite is through the trail entrance no more than 50 feet from our house, you can walk to a gorgeous park in the woods where the family can play and slide down a huge slide! Close access to I-5 makes it easy to go north or south to enjoy all Washington has to offer. Weekend mornings are great to drive ten minutes to Steilacoom where we would have breakfast at The Bair Drug and Hardware which is now a family owned restaurant.”

“When dining out nearby there’s a short walk that will get you to the FOB Brewing Co. The FOB is our local craft brewery. It is owned and operated by a local military family. Food trucks are a regular sight outside the FOB on the weekends. Downtown Dupont has several restaurants but our go to pizza spot is Bruceski’s. For a date night, we love getting dinner and drinks at Topside Bar and Grill. They have balcony dining that overlooks the Puget Sound.”

A long time favorite for locals is the Mince Mercantile. Grab fresh veggies, fruit and beverages here or pop in for a bite to eat. Check out the quick breakfast menu of avocado toast, sausage scramble bowl, quiche of the day, fresh baked cinnamon rolls or a breakfast sandwich. Need lunch to go? They offer a wide variety of sandwiches and salads, plus loaded potatoes.

Bruceski’s Stone Oven Pizza offers counter-serve pizzeria offering specialty pies, wings & sides in humble digs with outdoor seats.

Other eateries & shops nearby - Farrelli’s and their variety of pizzas. Dupont J Cafe, McNamara’s Pub and Eatery, Fortune Cookie, Pure Elegance Salon and Barber, DuPont Nails and Spa, Supper Buffet, DuPont Cleaners, the DuPont Library, I Sushi & Teriyaki, Viva Mexican and the DuPont Park & Ride.

Get outdoors and enjoy the Sequalitchew Creek Trail - 3 miles round trip with forested views of the beachfront. Or enjoy the beautifully landscaped Clocktower Park with its stunning pergola. This park offers picnic areas and tables, a playground and restrooms. Check out all of DuPont’s City Parks!

Just a 6 mile drive is the Billy Frank Jr. Nisqually Wildlife Refuge - The wildlife refuge is home to the Nisqually River Delta, which has the unique status as Washington’s largest relatively undisturbed estuary and provides habitats for more than 300 different species of fish and wildlife and has several miles of hiking trails. Before trekking here, be sure to check their website though for any trail closures.

Just 10 minutes from JBLM North and you don’t even have to get on the freeway to get there! There’s a nice backroad to take so you can skip all of that I-5 mess.
