FROM THE SELLER
A little from the sellers about the location, and what they’ll miss about the neighborhood -
“Cool rainy nights with the outdoor fire pit, morning coffee with the fireplace, the tall pine trees in the backyard that give me that ‘you’re in the woods’ feeling from the safety of my home, neighborhood block parties and holiday celebrations, the ability to cool things down the A/C on those hot July and August days, pulling into the driveway of the best looking house in the neighborhood, walking the dogs to the field at the end of the street, neighbors that have my back when going on vacation, outdoor cooking and dining on the patio, a wonderful sense of home.”
“It’s the perfect spot in Gig Harbor. Easy access to the harbor for stand up paddle boarding, grab a beer at Finholm or to get dinner at Millville Pizza. Also quick access to the trails at McCormick Park, the Cushman or Crescent Valley. The Purdy Spit is nearby and if you want some city amenities Tacoma is 15 minutes door to door. Plus the schools are great!”
“For lunch it’s Susanne’s, hands down. Terrific sandwiches on homemade bread with great soups and delectable pastries for dessert. For dinner it’s a coin flip between Millville Pizza and Gertie and the Giant Octopus. Millville has great pizza and wonderful salads with a nice assortment of local craft beers. Gertie has the best menu in Gig Harbor and sneaky charming dining experience given its location in Uptown. Their food is excellent!”
“The front yard is easily maintained with flowering ground cover in spots and perennials planted throughout the bed. The backyard was curated to give a ‘in the woods in the Pacific Northwest’ vibe with a fire pit and outdoor patio and a nice mix of trees and smaller plants. Included in the backyard is an apple tree and blueberry bushes. Both the front and backyard have an irrigation system for easy watering. At the end of the cul-de-sac there are tons of blackberry bushes that provide fruit for picking from July to almost October every year. That’s one of our favorite parts of the neighborhood!”
