MORE ABOUT THE COMMUNITY
With the Stay At Home order in place, there isn’t much to see and do at the moment, but we wanted to share with you what’s around this Sunrise Village neighborhood, so you’ll know what to explore when we can all enjoy the outdoors again!
Another restaurant that is offering takeout right now too if you’re looking for lunch or dinner options is the Ram Restaurant & Brewery. They’ve got steak, fish & chips, chili mac, tacos, salads and sandwiches on their menu.
The opening for the Puyallup Farmers Market has been delayed at this time, but you can still support all the local vendors online! They just launched a website so you can shop from home. Get things like fresh floral bouquets, baked goods and produce. Most vendors are offering delivery or no-contact pick up.
If you’re looking to get out of the home and get some fresh air, the Meridian Habitat Park & Community Center is 1.3 miles away. There’s a nice loop to enjoy. Another mile away is the South Hill Community Park, a neighborhood park offering paved walking trails, a kids’ play structure (can’t be used right now), a field & a dog area. Adjacent to the park is the Nathan Chapman Memorial Trail, a paved trail system is about 1.6 miles long and surrounded by large trees, man-made wetlands and beautiful scenery, creating an easy and enjoyable walk to either site.
5 minutes to Sunrise Village, a newer, open-air center that offers shopping, dining, beauty and a fitness center in Puyallup’s South Hill. Here you’ll find MOD Pizza, Trapper’s Sushi, Black Bear Diner, and QDOBA Mexican Eats are all open for take out only. Target is open for essential shopping as well as the Walmart Supercenter. The Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa, Famous Footwear, Party City, LA Fitness and other non essential businesses are closed during the Stay At Home order.
