On the corner of Kopachuck Drive NW and Ray Nash Drive Northwest is the Island View Public House and Market, where you can enjoy a cold pint of beer or a glass of wine with friends, snack on a cheese plate and enjoy the incredible view. They also have a gas station and a small grocery store that carries some locally made items and has been serving this community for over 50 years.
Kopachuck State Park is beautiful throughout all the seasons we experience in the Pacific Northwest, but the best time of year is in the summer, when that cool breeze blows in from the Carr Inlet and you dig your toes into the warm sand along the beach. This 109 -acre marine and camping park has 5,600 feet of saltwater shoreline, and provides scenic views of sunsets, the Olympic Mountains and the Puget Sound.
Other activities and features include boating, clamming, crabbing, diving (Kopachuck Underwater Park), saltwater fishing, oyster harvesting, bird watching and wildlife viewing.
Rosedale Market is a mile and a half away and is a quaint place to grab a breakfast sandwich, an espresso, smoothie or tea, and made to order deli sandwiches.
If you’re in need of groceries or medical care, Uptown Gig Harbor is 7 miles away. Here you can find an abundance of dining and shopping like, Moctezuma’s Mexican Restaurant, which is currently offering takeout at this time. And not just any ‘ol takeout, they’ve been offering different margaritas of the week, so you’ll never miss happy hour! You’ll also find Blazing Onion Burger, Pizzeria Fondi, Cutters Point Coffee, and Blue Agave Mexican Grill , Ben & Jerry’s, and Panera. There’s plenty of shops like Marshall’s, Talbots, Kohl’s, Michael’s, HomeGoods. Fred Meyer, Harbor Greens and Safeway are open for essentials.
