Plenty of parks to explore around here - you’ll find 3 centrally located near this home! A major recreation attraction for Tacoma’s east side and south end is Stewart Heights Park. This park is most known for its large outdoor swimming pool and water slide in the summer months, but this park also features updated playing fields, skateboard park, and playground.
Wapato Park - an urban park featuring a woodland area, a lake, walking trail, plus a historic pergola full of stunning greenery. Wapato has a number of trails that you can walk to explore the park, including one circling the lake that is approximately .9 miles in length and you can’t beat the beautiful setting of the lake and forest. It’s best and most popular feature though is the off-leash dog park.
In just a couple of months, you’ll be able to have very close access to the most fresh and organic blueberries at Charlotte’s Blueberry Park - nearly across the street! Here you’ll find more than 3,372 bushes, representing five varieties of blueberries. Picking season typically runs from July through September each year and is free to the community to pick.
Commuters will enjoy the quick access to I-5 and Highway 512.
