When asked what she will miss about this home the seller had lots of notes! “The neighborhood that this home is situated in is easily the prettiest in the fall. With an abundance of trees lining the streets, it’s hard not to be in awe as the seasons change. There are so many little bits of magic in this home, but the things I’ll miss the most are the trees that burst into fiery reds and oranges in the autumn and get dressed in fluffy pink robes when spring hits.”
“The neighborhood and location can’t be beat either!” Wright Park is ideal for a leisurely stroll or a quick walk, and is very popular in the summer months as it has a free sprayground, playground and plenty of picnic tables. This 27-acre arboretum is home to a rich collection of more than 600 trees - stunning in both the spring & summer when they’re ample and bright green, and impressive in the fall as they change from green to all the fall colors. WW Seymour Conservatory is a community treasure, hosting events throughout the year and a rotating assortment of seasonal flowers.
“And close to our favorite haunts too! Grab a beer at State Street Beer Co, Hank’s pizza and beer can’t be beat, and neither can the friendly bartenders. They also make a mean pizza pie, Parkway Tavern - a local watering hole with craft beers & bar bites, Frisko Freeze - a Tacoma landmark, quick-serve spot, with retro style & a choice of drive-thru or walk-up ordering. Moshi Moshi and Indo Street Eatery are right down the street too - which we’re super lucky.”
“This location was access to the freeway for Mark, who commutes and even Old Town and everything on North 21st Street like Lander Coffee Roasters, Evolve Home + Apparel, Magoo’s, etc. And the Corner Store across from Hank’s is a perfect spot for late-night needs!”
What else is there to know about this neighborhood? “Neighbors are great, never had any issues with theft, lots of nurses and doctors living nearby due to proximity of the hospital, newly paved and wide roads, extra yard space in back could be great for BBQ/deck/pergola/etc. and the yard space is huge! The garage can also be added onto. Street parking is rarely an issue, definitely not problematic in the evenings.”
