FROM THE SELLER

“We will miss how each area of our home has an opportunity to gather and spend time with each other. There is tons of space to have our privacy but still feel connected. We love hopping over to Evolve to grab a special treat and if we ever run out of coffee we just skip to Landers. We often meet friends at the pedestrian bridge and that is where my daughter learned how to ride her bike! We can see the lights on the bridge from our upstairs window and it just reminds us how magical our home is. We truly feel like we are in the heart of North Tacoma and feel lucky to have called the Three Bridges District our home for many years.”

“We walk everywhere. We can go to the stadium district, to Proctor, to 6th Ave, Old Town, and even down to Point Ruston. We have tons of options to walk our dog to restaurants with outdoor seating and after we grab ice cream from Metropolitan Market to enjoy at one of the many parks. We go to UPS almost every weekend and enjoy the beautiful campus.”

“I always forget to buy more coffee so I visit Lander coffee a lot. We walk to Brewer’s Row or Cooks Tavern for lunch with our dog as well as Rosewood Cafe. And for dinner we go to Sammy’s A LOT. We also grab ice cream from Dave’s after Sammy’s and walk the 2 blocks back to our home. Magoo’s is always a favorite.”

WHAT’S NEARBY

Close to the historical 3 Bridges District, with a Walkscore of 70 and a Bikescore of 40 - find yoga, shops, bars, dining, parks and more that surrounds this area! The 3 Bridges District was aptly named for the 3 bridges that existed between North Yakima Ave and North Oakes Street at least through 1969, according to map records in the Downtown Library. Only two bridges remain, but you can only drive across one - The N 21st Bridge that passes over the gulch, pedestrians and bicyclist can use the second remaining bridge on N Yakima Ave between N Fife and North Anderson St and the last bridge, according to records was a wooden bridge that existed along N Oakes and N 19th Street. This area is now overgrown with trees and bushes and became part of housing development.

Lander Coffee is the new local favorite and just 1 block away. It’s bright, cozy, with a minimalist vibe and friendly. When their shop opens again, it’s a great place to meet up with a friend or sit and catch up on a little work, and a little play area for kiddos. They’re currently serving takeout only and their pickup window Wed- Sun from 8 AM to Noon. Get fresh pressed juices, get a jug of latte or cold brew to get you through that work-from-home week and beans to make your own fresh pressed coffee at home.

Newly reopened is Evolve Home + Apparel, an eclectic home decor shop with accent pillows, throw rugs & blankets with refinished vintage furniture like lamps, radios artwork, vintage apparel and handmade pieces by local artists.

On that same street is Magoo’s - like a modern-day Cheers and a historical landmark since 1917. The old Irish pub is popular with locals as they charge $0.25 for a beer to the first customer of the day. You’ll also find Source Yoga - temporarily a virtual yoga studio where classes are being held via Zoom, and Willow Salon and Spa.

Whether you’re grilling outside or looking for something to throw in the oven, you won’t need to go far to get your fresh, high-quality & hard-to-find meat that comes from local farms. Dave’s Meat and Produce has been a long standing staple in this neighborhood. They also offer a small selection of produce, beer and wine, condiments and breads. On the weekends they have a burger & fries stand out front if you don’t feel like firing up the grill yourself.
