SOUTH END TACOMA HOME WITH A WORKSHOP

Bright and solid, this home with its large two-car detached garage with RV/boat parking was remodeled in 2014 and sits on a quiet street just a block from Alling Park. Fully fenced, surrounded by raised beds and garden paths, there’s even a paved driveway, gated at both ends. Inside the comfortable layout includes full baths on both floors. Box windows for herbs, granite counters, a second sink and lots of cabinets complete the kitchen. Close to Wapato, groceries and I-5 access.

Spend a sunny or even a rainy day at Wapato Park - an urban park featuring a woodland area, a lake, walking trail, plus a historic pergola full of stunning greenery. Wapato has a number of trails that you can walk to explore the park, including one circling the lake that is approximately .9 miles in length and you can’t beat the beautiful setting of the lake and forest. It’s best and most popular feature though is the off-leash dog park! The off leash dog area has a smaller area for your furry friends under 25 pounds, a space for larger pups and an upper dog area for all dogs. The park also provides waste bag stations and garbage bins to help keep the park clean. Water is also available for the pups; there’s a water faucet and bowl.

If you’re looking for a special spot to dine out, look no further than Tibbits at Fern Hill! This quaint, little spot is highly rated (more than 400 5 star reviews on Yelp and counting!) and there’s a reason why. There are only 9 tables in this establishment so you’ll need a reservation to give it a try, but it’s worth the wait when you finally get to savor the apple cinnamon french toast, the lobster bomb, sandwiches and salads, pancakes that look like they’re being served to royalty and other tasty things smothered in gravy. The owner, Shawn Tibbits is more than just cooking amazing food though, he also gives back to the community. Not only does he help feed people in need, but last year he threw a party to wrap 400 gifts for low-income children and the dozens in the community showed up to help.

The Tacoma Mall is just 8 minutes away. The Tacoma Mall is the largest shopping center in Tacoma and has over 150 stores and restaurants. This location is also close to Costco for all your bulk food and home shopping needs.

Summer is just a few months away, so get ready! A major recreation attraction for Tacoma’s east side and south end is Stewart Heights Park. This park is most known for its large outdoor swimming pool and water slide in the summer months, but this park also features updated playing fields, skateboard park, and playground.

You’ll always have a one-stop shop close by for any plumbing supplies and hardware tools for your home. Family owned and a neighborhood staple for over 88 years, Lincoln Hardware has been to go to for local neighbors for a long time. They carry paint supplies so you can add a pop of color to anything in your home you want, gardening tools to get your yard spring ready, plus a wide variety of power tools too.
