FROM THE SELLER

“I will miss the fog horn during the winter.I love that the whole block has Japanese cherry trees that bloom so beautifully in March. I love that you can hear and sometimes see the air show from the waterfront on the Fourth of July. Also that this house is within walking distance of Old Town. I love the MSM Deli on 6th Avenue. Also that you can hear the students cheering and yelling during football games at UPS.”

“When dining out near the home we enjoy MSM Deli, Mike’s Deluxe is the best sandwich! Katie Downs on the waterfront on a warm summer day.”

MORE ABOUT THE NEIGHBORHOOD

With the Stay At Home order in place, there isn’t much to see and do at the moment, but we wanted to share with you what’s around this North Tacoma neighborhood, so you’ll know what to explore when we can all enjoy the outdoors again!

Get a sandwich to go from MSM Deli (one bite and you’ll know why they’re called ‘Magical Sandwich Makers’). The Deli Club or Mikes Deluxe are the most popular on the menu!

And although you can’t enjoy a waterfront seat down on Ruston Way at Katie Downs Waterfront Tavern, you can get their delicious menu items to go, like their renowned deep dish pizza, crab cakes or fish & chips.

You’ll have more than one reason to order fresh coffee beans from Bluebeard Coffee Roasters, it’s not just good coffee from a local coffee shop, but they’re also donating coffee to our front line health workers too, so order a bag online today!

Grant Elementary School is a Center for the Expressive Arts. Their learning included more than just the basic curriculum. Students from Pre-K to 5th Grade partake in dance, journaling, games that get the mind and body moving and art that steps outside of shapes and lines.

Hilltop Artists uses art to connect young people from diverse cultural and economic backgrounds to better their futures. Students explore art through glassblowing, while also completing high school. This program has a 100% graduation rate for students. The Stay At Home Order is having an impact on the financial donations that they receive, even $10 a month could help them out right now, while they connect virtually with their students.
