A little from the sellers about the location, and what they’ll miss about the neighborhood -One of the things we’ll miss most about this house is the way the morning sun fills the upstairs as we have our coffee and get ready for work. By the time we get home in the evening, the sun has shifted and fills the kitchen and dining room so it always feels like we have beautiful light wherever we are in the house throughout the day.
We’ve made a habit of going for walks in the evening before dinner around the neighborhood and over to the University of Puget Sound. We also love the proximity to so many great bars and restaurants. There’s no need to drive when we can just stroll down the ave to our favorite spots!
One of our go-to spots for dine-in or take-out is Silk Thai, which in our opinion is the best Thai restaurant in town. In particular we love their Chiang Mai curry noodles. We also love grabbing a beer and a pizza at State Street Beer Co., coffee beans roasted fresh from Valhalla Coffee, or ordering a bottle of natural wine at Field Bar & Bottle Shop! Honestly, there are so many great options, it’s hard to only name a few!
The yard has some cedar raised beds with four young blueberry bushes of different varieties and an Olympian fig tree. They’re only a couple years old but they’re already bearing fruit! Art on the Ave and the Santa Parade are annual celebrations that take place just down the street on 6th Ave and are always a lot of fun!
