Wright Park is ideal for a leisurely stroll or a quick jog, and is very popular all year round. This 27 acre arboretum is home to a rich collection of more than 600 trees - stunning in both the spring & summer when they’re ample and bright green, and impressive in the fall as they change from green to a deep orange and red during the autumn foliage. The Conservatory is now open by appointment, and is a beautiful respite from the city.
The city is currently working on an expansion plan for the Tacoma Light Rail, with construction finalizing in 2022. This project will more than double the current length of the 1.6 mile line ending at the Tacoma Dome Station and will reach new destinations like the Old City Hall, the Stadium District, Wright Park and the Hilltop communities.
