PANORAMIC WATER VIEWS
You don’t have to choose between sunrise and sunset at this North Tacoma mid mod! Enjoy both, plus big views of Commencement Bay from all corners of the kitchen & living room. On a clear day, you can see from the Olympics to Mt. Baker from the large Trex deck.
Stellar location puts you ½ mile from the waterfront, 5 minutes to the freeway, and halfway between Proctor and Old Town. Three bedrooms + two baths on the main floor; gorgeous original hardwoods, doors and trim. Daylight basement also enjoys water views & opens up onto a level lawn. Third bath and laundry give this level potential for a 4th BR, Airbnb or ADU. New high efficiency gas boiler and updated sewer line in 2021.
NOTES FROM THE SELLER
“We’ll miss the spectacular views of the ocean and mountains from the Olympics to Mount Rainier, how quiet and peaceful it is here, and how the sun rises to the right of the house and sets to the left, so you never get the hot, direct sun, but still have tons of natural light and coolness in the summer. There are beautiful cherry blossoms and magnolia trees visible from the deck and backyard.”
“We’ve enjoyed this location for being able to walk and run on the waterfront, easy access to I-5, Proctor District, Point Defiance Park and all the restaurants and shops nearby.”
“When dining out nearby we like Cook’s Tavern, The Spar Tavern, Brewer’s Row, Katie Down’s. The pizza at Katie Down’s is fab!”
WHAT’S NEARBY

You’ll find joggers, walkers, avid runners and more enjoying the paved Ruston Waterfront path, which is just 1/2 mile from this home. From there you can log 6 miles round trip from the Chinese Reconciliation Park to the end of Point Ruston.
This time of year you might find the locals paddleboarding or jumping off the end of Old Town Dock. Consider grabbing a bite from Northern Pacific Fish and savoring the breathtaking views from the new benches on this restored historic dock. Those arriving by water now have access to two slips that can moor vessels up to 40-feet and 60-feet. Kayakers can utilize the low, free-board floats extending off the main dock.
If you’re looking for dining options, there are plenty of options just a few minutes away - the waterfront is your oyster (pun intended)! Katie Downs Waterfront Tavern is renowned for its deep dish pizza but you can find seafood and more at Duke’s Chowder House, heavy pours at Harbor Lights and enticing weekend brunches at The Lobster Shop.
Closer to home you can get a glass of wine in the tasting room or take bottles to go from Ginkgo Forest Winery. Across the street (and next to our office!) is Old Town Wine Skins. They serve an assortment of wine and beers + some delicious small plates (and housemade bread!)
The bustling Proctor district is only a mile away in the opposite direction. Grab your reusable bag on a Saturday and head to the Farmers Market to get all the fresh, locally sourced fruits and veggies. The Farmers Market runs now through December. Find The Metropolitan Market, Safeway, Knapp’s Restaurant, The Blue Mouse Theatre, Peaks & Pints Craft Beer Store, Pomodoro, Europa Bistro, East West, Viva, and Cactus. You can also find locally owned shops for clothing and play, as well as the North End’s closest post office and The Blue Mouse Theatre.
This home is also just minutes to plenty of other dining options plus Century Theaters - roomy lounge chairs and free parking for movie patrons. Patrons enjoy the to-go, affordable and popular fish and chips from The Daily Catch, an extension of WildFin American Grill where you can get a 2-piece fish and chips is $7.99.
