Another popular local hot spot in Bonney Lake is Trapper’s Sushi, partly due to their all-you-can-eat sushi deal, but also because everything is fresh and delicious. They have your standard rolls, nigiri, and some specialty rolls you won’t find anywhere else. The Blue Thunder is a nod to the Seahawks drumline - filled with spicy crab, cucumber, and shrimp to mellow out the spice and topped with avocado, lemon slices, and a blue masago. It’s definitely one of the most eye-catching rolls on their menu with the many pops of color. Make it a date night by taking in the latest blockbuster hits at the Regal Cinema next door!
Whether you’re working on home projects by tackling the yard for spring or sprucing up home decor, you’ll find Lowe’s, Marshalls, and Target close by. For your everyday grocery shopping, Fred Meyer and Safeway are in the same shopping center and Costco is right behind them for all your bulk needs.
Pack a picnic and head to Lake Tapps - 4 miles away! This popular swimming and boat launch area is located on the north side of Lake Tapps. A largely undeveloped 135-acre site with approximately 10,000 feet of waterfront access including a sandy swimming area. North Lake Tapps County Park offers spectacular views of Mount Rainier to the south and is a great place for kids and adults to swim. The park has several amenities that include, barbeque grills, beach access, a boat ramp, picnic tables, trails, rest rooms, and a seasonal concession stand. There’s also the Allan Yorke Park on the opposite side of the lake, as well as the Tapps Island Golf Course and the newly opened Island Lodge that offers deck seating, overlooks the water, and has stellar mountain views. Sunset Park - a 15-acre green space with a play area, skate park & picnic shelter, plus a basketball court & trails, just a mile away. Another park that locals enjoy is Game Farm Park. It’s a short 12-minute drive and offers a playground & walking trail, plus facilities for softball, soccer, tennis & basketball.
Near this home, you’ll find a few hiking trails close by. Victor Falls City Park is very popular in this area and is a 0.2-mile lightly trafficked out and back trail that features a waterfall and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for walking, nature trips, and bird watching. Another great place to get outdoors is the Fennel Creek Trail Head. It can often be tricky to locate since it’s located behind the Willow Brook neighborhood - just follow the paved road between two houses. The main trail starts along a beautiful boardwalk and then up a hill into a mile-long trail.
