What’s Nearby
Manchester State Park is a 111-acre Washington state park with 3,400 feet of shoreline on the Kitsap Peninsula. It was at one time a harbor defense installation for the protection of nearby Bremerton, then a fuel supply depot and Navy fire-fighting station. Now it’s used for camping, watching the stunning views, 2 miles of hiking trails and exploring the 3,400 feet of saltwater shoreline.
Hop on the ferry in Bremerton to catch the Southworth fast ferry that will get you to Seattle in 16 minutes.
Launch your boat at the Manchester Boat Ramp - The boat launch provides water access near the entrance to Rich Passage, with direct access to nearby Bainbridge Island, Yukon Harbor, Southworth and Blake Island State Marine Park. These waters are part of State Dept of Fish & Wildlife Marine Area 10. There is a daily launch fee, with funds maintaining the launch ramp, parking lot & restrooms (see website for fees & annual pass information).
Visit the Manchester Library. This library has free wifi and access to computers with Microsoft Office. Enjoy the ability to print, copy, or fax at the library and check out your favorite book while you’re at it.
Get a drink at Whiskey Gulch! Choose from a selection of their signature roast coffee & espresso with food choices such as street tacos, burgers, and soups during the day and drink from their rotating beer, wine, and spirits during the night.
